Apprenticeships have a hugely important place in helping young people to make decisions about their future but are also valuable to businesses.
There are some really great and robust apprenticeship programmes out there and the good ones deliver some excellent qualifications. The good apprenticeship programmes are well structured, allow young people to earn while they learn, develops their skills in a business environment and also adds wealth to the organisation they work for.
Sadly, many parents still have negative perceptions of apprenticeships and we need to transform attitudes to show that they are a fabulous alternative to A-Levels or degrees.
